APPLY FOR FUNDING

The Foundation prioritises charities whose primary focus is health related. If your charity delivers a variety of programmes, however, we will consider an application for your health related programme, if you have one.

If your charity does not have health as its sole or primary focus, and it doesn't have a designated health related programme, we may not be able to support you. Please contact us so that we can advise

Through our five funding programmes we support a wide and diverse range of UK registered health charities. Select below the programme most relevant to the project you would like us to consider. You will find information about what we do and don’t fund, and guidance about each programme’s application process.

Before you apply

Unfortunately, we receive many more applications than we are able to fund. In 2022-23, we received a total of 307 applications with a combined total ask amount of over £4million. We awarded 106 grants totalling over £816,000 with grants ranging from £1,600 to £33,000.

Please note that, if your organisation is eligible to apply, due to the ongoing high volume of applications received, we are currently not prioritising applications from charities holding reserves that are more than 50% above their reserves target. If in doubt, please contact us to discuss your charity's financial position.

To help you prepare your application, we provide Guidance for Applicants and an Funding FAQs section.  You can also consult our previous grants list and our News section for examples of previous awards.

If you think your project matches our interests, please complete our Eligibility Checker. If you are eligible to apply, our online application portal will signpost you to the relevant form.

Application deadlines can be found here.

Please note that we do not accept applications via email. All applications need to be submitted via our online application portal. We hope that the information in these pages is helpful, but if you are unsure about whether your project matches our criteria, or would like clarification on our application process, please contact us at grants@jamestudor.org.uk or on 0117 959 6496. We are here to help with any queries you may have.

If you have recently had an application declined, if you hold a current grant, or if you have held a grant for three years in a row, before you apply, please check the answer to the question How often can I apply? in our Funding FAQs section.

From time to time we might need to amend our application deadlines so we encourage you to check frequently to ensure you are submitting your application on time.
