One25 - For women to

heal and thrive

For almost three decades, One25 has been a lifeline for some of Bristol’s most marginalised women, offering specialist and holistic support to those who street sex work and face severe and multiple disadvantage.

It is the only organisation in the city specifically dedicated to helping women break free from cycles of trauma, poverty, addiction, and violence, meeting them exactly where they are with no judgement.

The charity provides a vital network of services, anchored by its night outreach van which brings safety, food, hot drinks and practical aid directly to the streets. Alongside this, a dedicated health hub offers a safe daytime sanctuary where women can have a hot meal, shower, see a GP or sexual health nurse, and begin treatment for addiction. Alongside this, specialist caseworkers provide intensive one-to-one support for housing, health, safety, and recovery.

“One25 believed in me when I had completely lost hope. They didn’t just offer me practical help, they showed me respect and care when I felt invisible. Without their constant presence, I don't know if I would have found the strength to leave the streets.”

“I was in a dark place, ashamed and terrified, but the women on the outreach van were so lovely. They greeted me with warmth and never judged me. If it hadn't been for that first connection with One25, I wouldn't be in recovery today.”

Driven by values of compassion, justice and learning, One25 goes beyond immediate crisis care to advocate for systemic change, driven by their lived experience consultancy group, Bridging Gaps. By empowering women to heal from deep-rooted trauma and supporting them to rebuild their lives, the charity is striving for a community where every woman is valued, safe and free to reach her potential.
