About HealthBus
HealthBus is a pioneering charity dedicated to bringing hope, dignity, and positive change to people experiencing homelessness across Bournemouth, Christchurch, Poole, and Dorset. At the heart of their work is a commitment to ensuring that everyone – regardless of their circumstances – has access to compassionate, high-quality healthcare. The Trust partners with both clinical and non-clinical teams to deliver a wrap-around service that not only addresses immediate health needs but also supports individuals to improve their mental health, overcome addiction, and move on from homelessness.
HealthBus operates through a mobile healthcare service that reaches rough sleepers and those in temporary accommodation, directly bringing medical care (including preventative care such as immunisation), mental health support, and practical advice to where it is needed most. Its approach is deeply rooted in the community, working in close collaboration with over 40 local organisations as part of the Homelessness Partnership BCP. This partnership brings together leaders from councils, the NHS, police, probation, social housing, and voluntary and faith groups, ensuring a joined-up, effective response to homelessness services in the region.

Why we support HealthBus
We recognise that accessing healthcare can feel incredibly difficult – sometimes even impossible – for many people experiencing homelessness. Poor physical and mental health can seem like an insurmountable barrier to rebuilding life, and too often, some simply lose hope and give up. Organisations like HealthBus are changing this by bringing healthcare directly to some of the most vulnerable people in our society, no matter where they are or what challenges they face.
