These include essential primary healthcare services led by qualified Auxiliary Nurse Midwives and Health Supervisors; education initiatives such as the Girls Empowerment Programme, which ensures marginalised girls stay in school and complete their studies; reducing the likelihood of early pregnancy and child marriage. Agricultural livelihood support that equips families with the skills, seeds, and tools to farm sustainably and secure their food supply, increasing dietary diversity and reducing child malnutrition.
Through initiatives like the Start Strong Project, PHASE Worldwide strengthens maternal healthcare systems, providing vital care for women and children immediately, while building the resilience needed for the long term by building health post capacity and collaborating with local government to provide better access to services in remote areas.
